Five major orders were secured during August, with three of them for projects for major household names. Caunton are no strangers to developments by Sainsbury's, Livingwell Leisure and LandRover but it is always encouraging to win work for such blue-chip companies.We are working for Anglo Holt at LandRover and for Marriott at the Tamworth Livingwell, both contractors well known and respected by us, but at Sainsbury's Stockport we are working for a new name, new to us that is, construction manager RGCM.



Another familiar and valued name to us at Caunton, Birse Construction, has awarded us a contract for an Auction Hall for client Cambridge Leisure which is to be built in the University city.



A major achievement for our company this month has been winning the Gateway Hotel order for the M1 Scratchwood Services Area, and this was placed by the country's largest contractor, Bovis Lend Lease. Bovis is renowned for building the vast majority of the country's major shopping centres and developments, and has not worked with us for some time now. It is to be hoped that success at Scratchwood will lead to many other opportunities for Caunton.
