Buro Happold Team Visit Caunton’s Facilities

Caunton welcomed seventeen graduate engineers from three different offices of consulting engineer Buro Happold to their Works recently. This coincided with the company starting work on the steelwork contract for the new Museum of Liverpool –see artist’s impression - which is engineered by Buro Happold. This engineer is renowned for its work on the Millennium Dome, the Emirates Stadium and Ascot Racecourse amongst many other award-winning structures. The engineers were introduced to Caunton’s Just in Time methods - engineering, manufacturing and logistics - and after the visit David Andrews, one of the visitors, was to remark “It was great to be made to feel so welcome by everyone at Caunton, and I feel the day has really benefited me as a graduate engineer by broadening my knowledge of the whole construction process”. This was Caunton’s aim, as knowledge of each other’s practices within the overall supply chain should help to accelerate progress and improve efficiency.
