A cold December weekend saw Caunton Engineering’s production and erection departments successfully trial-erect a 22 metre long section of the Leicester Tigers King Truss within the Caunton Car Park. It is certainly not every day Caunton have two 50te capacity cranes on their “front step” erecting at times a weighty 9.5te section of truss.

The whole section will eventually form part of the 104 meter span King Truss for the Tigers North Stand. Leicester Tigers is the best supported rugby club in the country so the spectators deserve something special.

Caunton’s Erection department willingly reported that the Production team had done an excellent job. Every one of the pipe flange connections fitted perfectly.
