Caunton were delighted to welcome a team of architects from Franklin Ellis to their works recently. Franklin Ellis recently won the East Midlands Property Design Excellence award for their work on “iHub Derby”. These professionals were keen to learn about how a steelwork contractor operates together with receiving an introduction to fabrication skills. The photograph shows the team prepared for welding training. Two hours of training by Caunton’s staff introduces a designer to the particular problems, limitations and requirements of welding which can be of great use in their future work. This they experienced in Caunton’s Training Academy. The architects also toured Caunton’s works and technical office too. Cooperation between the construction industry skill sectors improves efficiency Caunton believes.
