Caunton Engineering at last night’s Structural Steel Design Awards ceremony received a Commendation Award for their 2016 project The Curve at Slough. This is a marvellous achievement - to be recognised nationally for what the judges described in their comments as “elegant and effective steelwork meets unusual demands” . The awards each year recognise outstanding national structural steelwork achievements. The overall winner this year was The Cheesegrater the 224 metre high commercial office tower in London -a project which has been much in the news of course. So quite some competition for The Curve – but to be in the same league in effect, is a compliment to Caunton Engineering.
