Award-winning consulting engineering practice Price and Myers attended a presentation at Caunton Engineering’s facilities recently. This London- and Nottingham- based practice had expressed the wish to study the structural steelwork industry in operation, and Caunton were only too keen to welcome a group of their engineers. These visitors were very keen to see the manufacturing process - from receipt of their drawings through to delivery on site. The photograph shows the party in the Caunton Main Works being guided by Matthew Shimwell, Caunton’s Engineering Manager (second from left). A mutual knowledge of operations within the construction industry should improve mutual respect and efficiency, and in this concept, Caunton is a firm believer.
