Caunton steelwork at Rushden Lakes for the second time.

Caunton Engineering are delighted to have been awarded the contract, by main contractor Winvic Construction, for the structural steelwork for the next phase of the Rushden Lakes Leisure Complex. Caunton have already supplied steelwork for the first phase of this exciting new development, and are pleased to be working now on Phase 2. The new project includes for an additional major new Leisure Building, plus a further new Retail Block, Retail Terrace D. The new leisure building will include a 14-screen cinema, indoor trampoline facility, indoor climbing facility and restaurants. The two buildings require over 2500 tonnes of steelwork in total, and is designed by the Caunton technical team. Work has already started on site on the new Leisure Building. Retail Terrace D’s steelwork is now fully erected.

This complex, being developed by LXB Properties, and already a most successful tourist draw, is due to become a headline leisure attraction in the future. Caunton are pleased to be contributing in their way to this.
