Caunton Engineering is most pleased to be supplying over 2000te of structural steelwork to main contractor Buckingham Group Contracting for three buildings at a site only a few miles from the company’s works. IM Properties is developing a new business park near the M1 motorway in Nottinghamshire that could support thousands of jobs. It is expected to have a value in excess of £60m. This development is of a former opencast site on the northern outskirts of Eastwood in Nottinghamshire. Eastwood, the birthplace of DH Lawrence, is the nearest town to Caunton’s works.

The scheme will be carried out on behalf of IM Properties by First Industrial, which specializes in large-scale industrial developments. The site is expected to comprise up to 800,000 sq.ft. of warehouse/distribution development when complete. The Designer is Nottingham -based BWB Consulting Ltd, with the structural frames and connections designed by the Caunton technical team.
