Caunton Engineering are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the structural steelwork for a new press replacement building at BMW- Mini ‘s operations in Swindon. The contract has been placed by the main contractor McLaughlin and Harvey.

This car manufacturing giant, which employs hundreds of people at their Bridge End Road Swindon plant making body shells for Minis, is building a new factory there on the site of a building it had demolished. The new manufacturing building requires nearly 1200te of structural steelwork and which is designed by the Caunton technical team.
