Caunton Engineering have been pleased to supply the structural steelwork for the Co-op Regional Distribution Centre at Symmetry Park, Biggleswade for main contractor Winvic Construction. A major structural component of the project was a substantial element of secondary steelwork - staircases and when required the supporting tower steelwork, access bridges, steel ladders, hand railing and flooring, inter alia. The contract for this was placed with Caunton’s Secondary Steelwork Division. This of course complemented Caunton’s contract for the main frame most efficiently and successfully . Examples of this secondary steelwork are shown on the accompanying photographs.
This project is an excellent example of how Caunton continues to offer the construction market the full structural framing package.
