New Jaguar Land Rover Logistics Park – steel framed by Caunton

Caunton Engineering are most pleased to have been awarded the contract by main contractor Winvic Construction for the structural steelwork for five large steel-framed industrial units at Mercia Park in Leicestershire. The units will be leased by developer IM Properties to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), making this, what is said to be, the UK’s largest single occupier logistics park.
Caunton has already been working for Winvic Construction on Mercia Park, building three buildings for the major Danish logistics company, DSV.
The five buildings for JLR consist of units two and four, which are the largest steel frames, offering 93,000m2 and measuring 514m-long x 181m-wide. Units three and five are both 27,800m2, while the smallest steel frame, unit one is 18,500m2. All of the units will incorporate either two-storey or three-storey steel-framed offices.
Caunton are naturally delighted to be working on such a prestigious development for UK automotive pioneer, Jaguar Land Rover.
