We continue our journey towards Net Zero, for which engineering and design are fundamental to achieving this objective.

Our in-house engineering and design team plays a key role in delivering design optimisation and efficiency. By utilising our expertise and experience, we aim to reduce steel tonnage, reduce weight, maximise standardisation and secure efficiencies throughout the off-site fabrication, assembly and on-site installation phases.

Our early involvement in a recent waste to energy facility enabled us to work collaboratively with the main contractor and consulting engineer and participate in a value engineering exercise. The value engineering delivered a reduction of 720 tonnes of structural steelwork, saving over 1,500 tonnes of embodied carbon, mitigating 16,000 miles of HGV transport journeys, whilst delivering programme and cost betterment.
