Caunton Engineering as a company has always been a great champion of Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising activities. One of their best-known activities is the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning which is held in many places throughout the country.

Caunton's own participation was our own coffee morning which was recently held at Caunton's own offices. A good turnout of guests this year included retired Caunton staff. Retirement from working at Caunton means automatic membership of the Ironsiders Club. Members of the club are invited to various Caunton events throughout the year, where they are able to catch up with former colleagues and friends and see how the company is progressing. They are also sent updates in the form of a newsletter throughout the year so that they are able to keep up to date with everything at Caunton Engineering.

The photograph captures some members of the Ironsiders Club who attended the coffee morning, clearly enjoying coffee, cake and a catch up at their old stomping ground.

It is heartening that the company keeps in contact with many former employees.
