Celebrating Success at the Metals Apprentice of the Year Awards 2025

We are delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of our apprentices at this year’s Metals Apprentice of the Year Awards 2025, organised by The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers Alias Wire Workers. We entered three talented individuals for this prestigious recognition, which was split into two categories: Career Development Award - Recognising exceptional personal development and commitment to career progression and Craft Skill Award - Celebrating high-level, practical, hands-on skills in engineering, metallurgy, or manufacturing.

Molly Careless and Ethan Fordham represented us in the Career Development category, while Matthew Poxon competed in the Craft Skill category. We are delighted to share that all three apprentices were selected as finalists and presented their journeys and achievements at Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield. The feedback received from the judges was complimentary of each applicant’s dedication, passion, and professionalism.

A special congratulations goes to Molly, who was awarded Highly Commended in the Career Development Category and has also recently received a high first on her dissertation in her university course. Molly was invited to receive her award at the Court Dinner of the Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers, held in London.

This recognition is a testament not only to Molly’s hard work and growth but also to the high standard of all our apprentices. We are incredibly proud of Molly Careless, Ethan Fordham and Matthew Poxon for representing us so brilliantly and embodying the future of the metal industry.
