Caunton Engineering are very pleased to have won the order from Benniman Construction for the structural steelwork for a next-generation cold store and logistics hub at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal. The 285,000 sq ft cross-docked unit, known as DC11, is in four spans and requires nearly 2000te of steelwork, and will pack in 48 docks, and a 22m haunch height, plus framing for an external hub office, internal office and gantry.
The project is designed to hit EPC A+, BREEAM Outstanding and net-zero carbon in construction and is being hailed as one of client Prologis UK’s most sustainable distribution builds to date.
Caunton are very pleased to be working for Benniman Construction again. (See Caunton web site news 14.07.25, 3.02.25 and 28.05.24).
