Caunton have supplied nearly a thousand tonnes of structural steelwork to main contractor Simons Construction. The multi-million pound scheme included the provision of new retail, housing and the relocation of the town's existing Waitrose shop in Piries Place to Albion Way, Horsham. The new store will in fact comprise a Waitrose supermarket and a John Lewis at Home store. The proposal by developer Westrock is therefore to deliver a quality new 29,000 sq. ft. food store (existing store 14,500 sq. ft.) and a large, dedicated car park (330 spaces) that meets the needs of Waitrose customers as well as the town as a whole. The new John Lewis store is expected to create 125 new jobs, and Waitrose will create 50 new jobs. This work is the start of Westrock’s £35m redevelopment of the west end of Horsham

Caunton supplied steelwork for the store and the open deck car park – plus metal decking, secondary steel and erecting pre cast lift cores.
