Caunton Engineering was awarded the contract by main contractor, Winvic Construction, to supply the structural steelwork for the Arc Royal Birkenhead Freeport complex, developed for client, Tungsten Properties. This project has been recognised as Liverpool's largest distribution and production unit.

The development spans 494,750 square feet and features cross-dockyard facilities.

Within our contract with Winvic, we designed, supplied and erected over 1,500 tonnes of structural steelwork for the four-span, portal-framed warehouse, which includes a curved roof and a four-storey internal office.

This structure has been rated BREEAM 'Excellent'.
