Caunton Engineering was appointed by Winvic Construction to design, supply, and erect the main and secondary structural steelwork for a multi-storey car park and a portal framed industrial unit at Indurent Park, Derby (formerly St Modwen Park).

Indurent Park is a 67-acre business park, developed on one of the largest regeneration sites in Derby, delivering modern commercial and industrial facilities.

Caunton’s scope included the structural framing to the split-level multi-storey car park, comprising six half-storey parking decks connected by short ramps, together with the design and construction of a 43,078 sq ft portal framed unit. The industrial unit is formed in a twin-span portal frame, with each span measuring 26 metres.

A total of 625 tonnes of structural steelwork was designed, supplied, and erected by Caunton Engineering. The project team included architect Stephen George and Partners and structural engineer Rodgers Leask Ltd.
