Recent Support to local charities

Charity Dinner

Caunton attended "The Ambassador's Charity Dinner" held at East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham to help raise money for "Nottinghamshire Hospice".

This charity provides high quality end of life care to patients and their families either at their Day Therapy facility or in patients' own homes. Every year they care for around 5,000 people, including patients affected by a terminal and life limiting illnesses, as well as their carers, family and friends.

Charity Golf day

Caunton supported a Charity Golf Day in aid of the Mayor of the Broxtowe's Charity "Nottingham Hospitals Charity" to help raise money for The Trent Cardiac Unit, £1202.80 was raised for this this charity.

Nottingham Hospitals Charity raises money to improve facilities, fund new equipment, provide important additional services, support staff development and initiate local medical research at Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ropewalk House and Hayward House in Nottingham. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of donors and fundraisers, they are able fund the 'added extras' and enhancements that make the experience of being in hospital better for people of all ages.

Christmas Jumper Day

For the last four years Caunton staff have taken part in Christmas jumper day for 'Save the Children' charity. Every employee is encouraged to wear their best festive knits and raise money for the charity. "Save the children" makes a serious difference to the lives of children in some of the world's toughest countries.

By wearing our silly sweaters so far we have managed to raise £425!

Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group

The Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group was founded by twelve Kings Mill Breast Cancer patients who felt help was needed for patients that went beyond the pure medical care given by the hospital which is a charity that undertakes fantastic support work.

Many events have taken place to raise funds for such a fantastic cause close to Caunton’s heart including a sponsored marathon in New York, a cycle through parts of Tour de France and most recent a ride across france, over the Pyrenees from the Atlantic Coast to the Mediterranean coast covering 720km, ascending 11,00 vertical metres and most impressively completed in under 100 hours. Caunton's IT department help out with the upkeep of the website which is where all the events and fund raisers are showcased.
