Caunton has most recently celebrated the fact that the organisation has been recognised as an Investor in People for over 10 years. The company has been presented with a certificate and the covering letter expressed how great an achievement is this recognition, and how it demonstrates “an ongoing dedication to people and commitment to continuous business improvement.”

Since first achieving such recognition in 2000 the company has moved from strength to strength. Building on the established training culture of the company, in 2004 it opened an in-house Academy to offer apprenticeships to youngsters. The company also introduced in parallel a ‘recruit-a-graduate’ scheme with the University of Nottingham. Most recently, and while working closely with trade associations EAL (EMTA Awards Limited) and emda (the East Midlands Development Agency), Caunton became an accredited training centre in 2009.

It will be interesting to find out what progress the company reports when it has completed 20 years an Investor in People!
