Caunton have recently supplied and erected the steelwork for a new Tesco store in Kinson – 6 miles north of the Bournemouth Town centre. Caunton are supplying nearly 200 tonnes of structural steelwork for Main Contractor, Vinci Construction. The site itself was formerly an old arcade in Wimborne Road, with the Royal Oak pub being demolished too.

The development contains an area of a sizeable twenty-four thousand square feet, and also comprises five new retail units fronting Wimborne Road. Engineer for this successful project was Pinnacle Consulting Engineers of Norwich.

Caunton is pleased that, despite Tesco’s reported financial problems in 2014, this much admired company is continuing to invest.
