A second repeat order for Caunton - at Castlewood Business Park Mansfield

Caunton Engineering have recently completed the design, supply and erection of over 600te of structural steelwork for a project on the Castlewood Business Park. This Business Park is located just off junction 28 of the M1, and only a few miles from Caunton’s Moorgreen works and offices. This is in fact the third major development on this growing business park where Caunton have supplied the steelwork. In 2012, Caunton designed, supplied and erected the steelwork for a major new food distribution depot for the Co-operative Group. The steelwork contained over 1600te and comprises a quadruple span with forty bays of portal frame steelwork. The structure spans an overall 126m with the length 316 metres – a very large building. Details of the second building were reported in web site news of 6th March 2104 - comprising again over 600te of steelwork.

Castlewood Business Park, which is being developed by Clowes Developments, is rapidly becoming established as one of the most sought-after industrial and commercial sites on the M1 corridor in the Midlands. It is just off the A38 near Junction 28 of the M1, providing rapid access to north-south and east-west markets. It is adjacent to the popular McArthur Glen retail outlet where Caunton also supplied the framing steelwork. For more details of this project, see Caunton Web Site News of 18th January 2005.

Winvic Construction is again the main contractor for this new project. The project itself comprises a three-bay portal framed structure with a curved roof profile. Caunton wish Clowes Developments every success with their new venture.
