Caunton Engineering were delighted to be quoted recently in the Nottingham Post as one of the” two fastest growing companies in Nottinghamshire”. This was as a result of the league table published in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 for Private Companies on 8th April, where Caunton was ranked 38th highest out of a list of major national companies. This reflects of course the expansion in manufacturing facilities, with the opening of the Cut Shack most recently - see Caunton web site news 6th September 2014 - leading to a surge in the numbers employed by the company, and investment in new and more productive machinery. This production growth coupled with prudent management increased profitability too, hence this recognition. The prize for this honour? A cake which was cheerfully demolished by many of the craftsmen in the company – see the photograph!!
