Caunton supplied and erected the steelwork frame for a new car park at the Heartlands Hospital, Yardley in Birmingham, which is a member of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. Caunton also supplied and erected the steelwork for an extension to Good Hope Hospital in nearby Sutton Coldfield, also a member of the Trust. In both cases main contractor was Interserve Construction.

The car park required 230te of galvanised steelwork comprising of two storeys. Caunton’s design department were able to work alongside consulting engineer BWB in developing the design, in order to improve the efficiency in constructing the overall structure. Caunton also erected the precast floor units and the access stair towers. The car park itself has nearly four hundred parking spaces and joins a growing list of steel-framed car parks supplied by Caunton.
