Caunton Engineering were very pleased to have been awarded the contract by Benniman Group for the structural steelwork for the logistics warehouse development in Cannock.

The site was formerly occupied by a parcel centre which was destroyed by a large fire in 2024.

The design and build project required over 1,200 tonnes of structural steelwork and was constructed to meet BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and EPC A standards, supporting energy efficiency and environmental performance.

The total duration of Caunton Engineering’s involvement in the project was 14 weeks – 8 weeks off site (design, GA’s detailing and manufacture) and 6 weeks on site. For a project of this size, Caunton’s Contracts Manager was proud to say, “it was one of the quickest we’ve put through the business.”
