Local MP Visits Caunton Engineering’s Refurbished Training Academy

Caunton Engineering recently had the pleasure of welcoming Juliet Campbell, MP for Broxtowe, to their newly refurbished Training Academy. The upgraded facility reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to developing skills and supporting both current employees and the next generation of engineers.

The refurbished Training Academy now features modern learning spaces, state-of-the-art equipment, and improved workshop facilities, creating an environment that encourages practical learning, innovation, and professional growth. Apprentices gain hands-on experience across all areas of fabrication and welding, combining technical knowledge with real-world application.

During the visit, Juliet Campbell, MP for Broxtowe, toured the facility and met with current apprentices as well as Chairman, Simon Bingham, gaining insight into the academy’s role in preparing engineers for future industry challenges, developing the workforce, and supporting the local economy. Speaking after her visit she said:

"It was fantastic to visit Caunton Engineering, see the factory and facilities and most importantly to meet staff and apprentices. I was really impressed with the Training Academy and the opportunities that you provide for young people to gain skills and expertise.
