Caunton are very pleased to have been awarded the contract for the structural steelwork for the T J Morris Distribution centre near Doncaster by main contractor McLaren Construction. This £108m distribution centre will be serving three hundred Home Bargains stores. It will require 105 loading bays.

The steel framed structure, a portal framed warehouse, comprising low bay, intermediate bay and high bays areas with mezzanine floors and offices covers an area of 829,000 square feet. The high bays rise to 43 metres in height.

The framing requires over 6,000te of steelwork and has been designed by Caunton and will be erected by the company.

McLaren Construction have reported that the project will create a thousand new jobs for the area. Caunton are proud to be a part of this.
